Ich hab das Buch an einem Wochenende durchgelesen, weil ich es einfach nicht weglegen konnte! Die Geschichte ist schon ziemlich verrückt - Menschen sterben durch Schlangenbisse mitten in Wien. Das hört sich erst mal komisch an, aber es funktioniert richtig gut. Die beiden Polizisten Öhlinger und Django sind echt sympathisch. Man fiebert mit ihnen mit, wenn sie versuchen rauszufinden, wer hinter den Morden steckt. Die Biologin Prof. Veitskamp ist auch klasse - eine richtige Schlangen-Expertin, die total schräg ist. Am Anfang dachte ich mir: amerikanische Sekten in Wien? Aber der Autor hat das gut hingekriegt. Die Sache mit den IT-Experten und der defekten Software war überraschend. Und dann das Ende im Einkaufszentrum - hunderte Schlangen überall! Da hab ich wirklich mitgezittert. Das Buch liest sich flüssig und ist mal was anderes als die üblichen Krimis. Wer gerne spannende Geschichten mag, sollte es definitiv lesen. Hat mir richtig Spaß gemacht!

The mix of biblical clues and high-tech backstory was intriguing, even if the transition between those worlds wasn't always seamless. That said, the final act with the snake release in the shopping center is pure cinematic chaos — tense, wild, and unforgettable. If you're looking for a crime novel that dares to be different, Snake Pit is absolutely worth sinking your teeth into.
