Über dieses Buch
This book is called "Golden Sand" - this association occurs to me when I think about life. Regardless of how our day turned out, it goes away forever, just like sand spills out of an hourglass. But every day gives us experience, without which we would not exist, and even failures often turn into unexpected joys. This book embodies my desire to leave information about the lives of my contemporaries to descendants, as well as the experience of the past that has come down to me from the stories of people who have already passed away.
The first story, “Golden Sand,” is about a guy who, with the help of a wise adult, avoided a big mistake. The story, “Antique Piano,” is about how an unexpected find helps the heroes test themselves and not succumb to self-interest and the temptation of easy enrichment.
“Someone Else’s Letter” tells the story of a man who was betrayed by his family and, having already lost his strength, finds the courage to help another who is in trouble.
Before the New Year, you always want miracles and transformations. But disappointments are also possible. You can read about how this happened to the heroine of the story “Cleopatra…” in the story of the same name.
How much does true love cost? Does it have a price? This is written in the story "On Piccadilly Street". The detective story "Portrait" is about insidious intrigues, illegal accusations and the real love and loyalty that oppose this. Autumn brings sadness and fatigue, and the wife creates problems. How the hero of the story "Autumn Labyrinth" dealt with this, you will find out by walking with him through the autumn city. "Poppies" is a story about young people who unexpectedly find themselves in an extreme situation while on vacation in the mountains.
"The Perfect Storm" is about how an ordinary quarrel ends in extraordinary happiness. "Shostakovich's Waltz" is about the responsibility of a young pianist to the author of the work she plays. And the final story of the collection, "Hands", is about how love does not die, does not go away with the years and does not require anything in return.
It was important for me to reveal to the reader the diversity of life – its color, pathos, confusion, joy, grief – and to convey the feelings that the events I am telling about evoked. I will be very glad if you, dear readers, get acquainted with my stories and I hope that in this world everyone will find something close to themselves.
