Dear reader !

I called this book of stories “The Street of Great Love”. If you think about it, our life – no matter how we see it for ourselves – a familiar street, avenue or narrow path – is always illuminated by the rays of love. Sometimes we don’t notice it, but we always strive to come out into its light.

The story “Heart in Dead Amber” is about love that was born one day, and the next day its golden string broke. But love does not die if it lives in a kind and grateful heart.

“The Street of Great Love” is a story about love, although forbidden, but so bright and pure that its radiance was enough for a lifetime.

The story “Treasure Hunter” is also about the love of an old man, although lost, but living in the heart. And about how a young man, intoxicated by a passion for gold, cannot understand that the real value is not in it, but in the ability to discern behind the ghostly shine what he deprives himself of.

"Grandmother's Tales" is about a woman capable of a daring act in order to unite her fate with her beloved. And how her granddaughter followed her example.

The story "Violin" is not only about the love of music. It is about the difficult path and trials that befall a talented musician on his way to fame.

Is the "Prediction" of the Gypsy able to change fate? Or are we still in the power of imagination, which draws for us an inaccessible image, which turns out to be the closest?

"The Algebra Problem" is a story about how a girl, even having found herself in a difficult situation created by herself, comes out of it with dignity, having taught her teacher a lesson.

God sees the dream of a child. “Ivan Kupala Day” about how an unexpected meeting changed fate and led to the fulfillment of a dream.

Do you believe in otherworldly forces? The story “Restless Night” will tell you that these forces appear immediately where they are feared.

The humorous story “Guess the Word” is about the fact that sometimes you should not rely on your memory, especially if you go to the pharmacy.

The story “Crimson” will convince you that it only seems to us that we are alone in this world and cannot rely on the help of higher powers. Where are they? Inside us or protecting us with an invisible wing, you will judge this after reading this story.

A holiday is always an expectation of a miracle, so you want to observe ancient traditions so that the New Year brings joy and happiness. But perhaps a miracle is hidden in insight, and then there is a desire to throw out completely different things that have become unnecessary. And sometimes a person from your life. This is what the story “New Year in Odessa” is about.

Every day gives us experience, without which we would not exist, and even failures often later turn into unexpected joys. This book embodies my desire to leave information about the lives of my contemporaries to descendants, as well as the experience of the past that has reached me from the stories of people who have already passed away.

It was important for me to reveal to the reader the diversity of life - its color, pathos, confusion, joy, grief - and to convey the feelings that caused the events that I am telling about. I will be very glad if you, dear readers, get acquainted with my stories and I hope that in this world everyone will find something close to themselves.
